Dr Foster Intelligence tools are allowing hospitals, PCTs and GPs to analyse and drill down into data, enabling them to pinpoint anomalies in their service provision. In particular, it allows them to compare their performance to their peers. As a result, around two-thirds of acute trusts and a third of new PCTs now have better access to information and analysis, which is improving patient care and efficiency.
In this section we set out some of the areas in which we are working by relating a number of stories from across the NHS about how people have used information and analysis to deliver improvements.
