Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust was short-listed and then made a finalist in the Excellence in Health Information Management award category.
The BT e-Health Insider awards judged Homerton's use of Patient Experience Trackers on several categories, including:
Homerton supports an extremely diverse community, making the traditional methods of surveying patients much less effective than the PET handsets that translated questions into 21 different languages.
Staff were so enthusiastic about the programme, and their chance to demonstrate the excellence of their work, that there is a waiting list to get involved in the project.
After being short-listed in the Excellence in Health Information Management category, Homerton's Deputy Director of Nursing, Jennie Negus, and Dr Foster Intelligence's Healthcare Improvement Consultant, Mark Bray, presented the project to the final judging board. They were then announced as finalists.
The awards ceremony will be held on 7 November in London
