Real Time Monitoring (RTM) - enabling providers and commissioners to benchmark and monitor clinical outcomes
A new version of RTM to be launched in November with significantly improved benefits for secondary care including:
- Intelligent Analysis – An automated report function concentrating on significant variance which may be relevant in audit
- Detailed Drill-Down Functionality – Dr Foster’s new system has the option to allow users to multi-select and drill down further to extract any analysis required
- Patient Safety – Patient safety indicators developed with the Centre for Patient Safety and Service Quality at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust, monitored on a monthly basis with drill down to patient records for easy audit.
Clinician Outcomes and Benchmarking Tool - a new way of supporting clinicians in improving the quality of care
An easy-to-use, web-based tool that provides consultants with information on clinical performance, and allows them to monitor and record outcomes specific to the performance and quality of care. The tool offers:
- Audit of clinical practice benchmarked against historical performance and local and national averages
- Record of income generated for the trust (based on PbR tariffs)
- Needs assessment derived from audit
- Record of learning and performance as well as quality improvement initiatives
- Printable documentation for purposes of appraisal and revalidation
