Practice and Provider Monitor (PPM) – a common information source for both providers and commissioners
PPM provides a monthly statement of accounts for each GP practice as well as activity and financial statements with drill downs to individual patient records and information on historical patient treatment.

- A shared view of all inpatient and outpatient activity for providers and commissioners

Real Time Monitoring (RTM)
RTM is a web-based tool, enabling benchmarking and monitoring of safety and clinical outcomes in near real-time, helping PCTs commission for quality and delivery of their quality accounts.
Functionality includes:
- Standardised and benchmarked safety indicators and clinical outcomes to monitor performance against all acute trusts in England
- Near real-time information on patient outcomes such as mortality, length of stay, day case rates and readmissions for all inpatient activity
- Automatic alerts to users of significant divergence in clinical performance
- Intelligent analysis to assist in early investigation and audit.
