PPM is a web-based tool offering providers and commissioners a shared view of nationally benchmarked inpatient and outpatient activity.

Real Time Monitoring (RTM)
RTM is a web-based tool, enabling benchmarking and monitoring of safety and clinical outcomes in near real-time, helping PCTs commission for quality and delivery of their quality accounts.
Functionality includes:
- Standardised and benchmarked safety indicators and clinical outcomes to monitor performance against all acute trusts in England
- Near real-time information on patient outcomes such as mortality, length of stay, day case rates and readmissions for all inpatient activity
- Automatic alerts to users of significant divergence in clinical performance
- Intelligent analysis to assist in early investigation and audit.
