Real Time Monitoring (RTM) - enabling providers and commissioners to benchmark and monitor clinical outcomes
RTM focuses attention on diagnoses and procedure groups that are variant in outcome to expected allowing comparisons to national and local Peers as required.
Analyses include:
- Standardised and benchmarked clinical outcomes against all acute trusts in England
- Results from specific consultant teams and specialties
- Automatic alerts to users of significant divergence in clinical outcomes
- Intelligent analysis to assist in early investigation and audit.
RTM incorporates standardised methodologies designed by Professor Sir Brian Jarman and Dr Paul Aylin from the Dr Foster Unit, Imperial College London.
