Julia Sharman began her career in the NHS training as a Nurse back in 1985. Specialising in Oncology, Julia moved into the Pharmaceutical sector as an Oncology Support Nurse for GlaxoSmithKline. Julia then spent 8 years in Clinical Research managing studies and Business Development from Phase I - III research trials while completing an MSc in Clinical Research. Julia joined Dr Foster in 2002 to develop relationships and business opportunities within the NHS for the North of England. Developing the business need further Julia set up and headed the customer support team who continue to deliver Project Management and Training support to the NHS customers of Dr Foster Intelligence.

In 2007, Julia went on secondment to East Midlands SHA as Head of Performance Intelligence to support and develop their performance informatics team and returned to Dr Foster Intelligence as Chief Knowledge Officer in 2008 to support the continued development of our products and services in line with customer need and to lead on the research of new ideas and initiatives from inception through business case development to customer delivery.
